Complete Health Partners, located in the Nashville West shopping center, has relocated its curbside care to a neighboring parking lot, adding more physical space and more online appointment slots to expand COVID-19 testing capacity.

Complete Health Partners was among the first private healthcare providers in Nashville to offer curbside COVID-19 evaluation and testing, starting back in March. The clinic has offered testing every day of the week for 10 hours per day for nearly five months now. In addition to testing for COVID-19, Complete Health Partners provides curbside evaluation and treatment of all respiratory illnesses, giving patients with COVID-19-related symptoms access to quality medical care while allowing other patients to safely seek treatment inside the clinic.

“At first we were offering drive-up care and testing for COVID-19 symptoms, similar to our walk-in care option before the pandemic. As testing demand grew along with the health crisis in Nashville, we had to move all COVID-19-related care to scheduled appointments only and we were booking out days in advance. Relocating our tent allows us to see more patients in a shorter time frame. The new location has been set up for a little over a week and we’re back to being able to offer same-day appointments on most days,” said Dr. Ty Babcock, owner of Complete Health Partners.

The curbside care tent is now located on the other side of Charlotte Pike from Complete Health Partners in the parking lot of the Center for Spiritual Living located at 6705 Charlotte Pike, 37209. Patients needing a chest x-ray as part of their medical evaluation can still access the clinic through a dedicated side entrance that prevents contact with other patients.

“Even though we only have one clinic location right now, we estimate that we have been doing 8 to 10 percent of the COVID-19 testing in Davidson County based on recently reported numbers of total daily testing. People clearly value getting a medical evaluation of their symptoms while also getting tested, especially since COVID-19 symptoms can be similar to many other illnesses. It’s important for people to have a trusted medical provider to help them through this uncertain time,” Dr. Babcock said.

The clinic model for Complete Health Partners is designed to reduce unnecessary demand on Emergency Rooms, which is more important than ever as hospital capacity in Nashville has dropped as the pandemic has worsened over the summer. Complete Health Partners offers treatment for most illnesses and injuries that are non life-threatening. Services also include primary care, sports medicine and counseling. Dr. Babcock is a Board-Certified emergency physician who served his residency in the Vanderbilt University Department of Emergency Medicine and saw too many patients seeking medical care in the ER who could have been treated in a clinic setting.

Complete Health Partners also offers telemedicine and house calls for those who feel more comfortable receiving care or testing in their own home, including follow up visits for patients who test positive for COVID-19 and have ongoing care needs.
