Monkeypox Testing in Nashville, TN

Complete Health Partners is working closely with the Tennessee Department of Health and the Metro Nashville Department of Health to offer urgent care visits with Monkeypox testing in Nashville clinics.
Before visiting one of our clinics for Monkeypox testing, please ensure lesions/rash are covered, if possible. We have a separate waiting area in each clinic to ensure infection control protection.
8/10/22: At this time Complete Health Partners urgent care clinics in Nashville, TN, offers testing for those with visible Monkeypox symptoms such as a rash, lesion or blisters. Tests are sent to our third-party lab. Current current turnaround time for a Monkeypox lab is 24-48 hours
Information about Monkeypox Testing at Our Clinics:
Those who have been exposed to Monkeypox and have a rash or lesions should schedule a Monkeypox testing appointment. If you are concerned you may have Monkeypox, you should avoid close, skin-to-skin contact with others.
If you have been exposed to Monkeypox but do not have a rash or lesions, please book a telemedicine virtual visit to determine if Monkeypox testing is warranted. The testing process requires a sample from from a possible lesion.
We do not currently offer vaccinations for Monkeypox. Please check back for more information.
Please complete digital registration (sent by email & text) prior to arriving for quickest service. At this time we require an appointment for all Monkeypox testing visits.

Those who are concerned they have been exposed to Monkeypox should schedule a telemedicine virtual visit to determine if Monkeypox testing is warranted. Those who may have been exposed and are now exhibiting rash or lesions should be tested for Monkeypox.

Monkeypox in Nashville FAQ
Monkeypox is a viral infection that may begin with tiredness, muscle aches and headache. It can progress to develop a vesicular or pustular rash, however not all cases in the 2022 outbreak have presented with rashes. Monkeypox usually lasts 2-4 weeks, however a person may be contagious for
According to the CDC, Monkeypox can be transmitted in many different ways:
- Close personal, often skin-to-skin contact, including:
- Direct contact with monkeypox rash, scabs, or body fluids from a person with monkeypox.
- Touching objects, fabrics and surfaces that have been used by someone with monkeypox.
- Contact with respiratory secretions.
Monkeypox can be spread from the time symptoms start until the rash has fully healed and a fresh layer of skin has formed. This can take 2-4 weeks.
Scientists are still researching:
- If the virus can be spread when someone has no symptoms
- How often monkeypox is spread through respiratory secretions
